Summary

Monitors all card rooms, tables, and areas associated with card play. Sets all rooms so members and guests receive the amenities Ibis provides in a professional and timely manner. Ensures members follow all departmental policies and procedures. Assists in maintaining equipment such as coffee, soda machines, and snack dispensers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains high standards of appearance of work areas and presents a high professional manner to others.
  • Understands and follows policies and proper procedures for staff and enforces rules for members/guests.
  • Adheres to work schedule, calling out procedure, properly clocks in/out for breaks and/or leaving property.
  • Services card rooms throughout work shift and manages own time effectively.
  • Communicates to management any safety concerns and/or specific tools needed to complete tasks.
  • Stocks supplies throughout shift for the service areas as needed.
  • Inspects cleanliness and maintenance of card rooms when in and out of use. Reports maintenance issues to supervisor.
  • Displays teamwork and doing whatever it takes for our members and guests.
  • Keeps accurate records of attendance for each card room.
  • Delivers lost and found items to Concierge desk and informs supervisor of items.

Other Functions

  • Addresses problems that might arise both courteously and professionally.
  • Advises supervisor of any member/guest complaints so they can be immediately and professionally resolved.
  • Operates within all guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints as established by the company. Assist in the implementation of club mandatory standards of operation as they relate to the card rooms.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to visually inspect all card room outlets and ensure that all rooms comply with the rooms standards.
