Summary

Provides quality instruction to members and guests of the Club, while providing a fun and entertaining environment for improving the game of tennis and pickleball.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provides individual and group instruction that is consistent under the guidance of the Head Tennis Professional.Works with Head Tennis Professional and Director of Sports to implement and organize tennis and pickleball programs and promotions.
  2. Assists with outings, tournaments, and other club events.
  3. Contributes in organizing team matches, practices, and outings.
  4. Acts as liaison for various Ladies Tennis teams.
  5. Enforces Club Rules & Regulations, such as dress code.
  6. Responds promptly to member's needs and solicits feedback to improve service.
  7. Promotes activities and functions offered throughout the Club.
  8. Assists in court maintenance and in Tennis Pro Shop as needed.
  9. Supports and provides tennis and pickleball instruction for the Kids Clinics and Kids Summer Camp.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum three years tennis experience at private club/resort.


Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • USPTA P1 Level.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of the game of tennis.
  • Must be in excellent physical condition

Other Qualifications

  • Must be self -motivated, friendly, and outgoing.
  • Great attitude and strong personal relation skills.
  • Must be able to react quickly and anticipate member issues.
