Summary

Provides outstanding service to members and guests in a professional and courteous manner by maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation to ensure member/guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sets and maintains all hot and cold buffet items to ensure freshness, quantity, quality, and cleanliness for an exceptional buffet presentation.
  • Ensures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the buffet area during and after shift.
  • Replenishes all buffet items as needed with proper quantities.
  • Delivers food to pre-designated areas of the kitchen and Club.
  • Ensures proper set-up and breakdown of all buffet equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains and cleans frozen yogurt machine twice a week.
  • Assists Sous Chefs with food preparation to include peeling of vegetables during non-peak times.
  • Adheres to company policy of personal hygiene and cleanliness of uniform.
  • Shows initiative by presenting ideas to Sous Chefs/Executive Sous Chef for continuous improvement of procedures and presentation.
  • Assists members/guests with their plates to their assigned table as needed.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
