Summary

Provides outstanding service to our members and their guests in a professional and courteous manner.  Maintains the tennis and pickleball Hydro grid clay courts and the condition of the surrounding areas.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Unlocks tennis courts in the morning, sweeps and stripes court lines, and inspects areas for trash, etc.
  • Communicates any problem areas to Supervisor, Tennis Pro Shop, or Director of Sports.
  • Ensures beverage stations are clean and fully stocked with supplies.
  • Checks that maintenance equipment is in proper working condition prior to use.
  • Regularly inspects and maintains courts, lines, windscreens, nets and awnings.
  • Follows checklist systems to maintain tennis and pickleball court conditions.
  • Organize and clean Tennis shed, inside and out.
  • Check valve boxes to ensure courts are maintaining correct water levels.
  • Keep Tennis patio and deck area clean and free of trash and debris.
  • At the end of shift, secures courts and equipment.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.  Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.                             

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • CPR/AED certification; or the ability to obtain upon hire

 

Other Qualifications

  • Self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work with little supervision.
  • Must prioritize jobs and efficiently utilize time.
  • Must be "team oriented."
