Shared Vision


Greets members and guests by name. Ensures the proper billing of members and guests. Provides accurate information regarding course conditions, policies and procedures for play along with assuring prompt pace of play. Promotes the Club and the game of golf.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Checks in golfers and collects appropriate fees. Informs members of any special playing conditions.
  • Accurately performs opening and closing procedures for the Golf Shop.
  • Assists members and guests with merchandise questions. Provides product knowledge of all Golf Shop merchandise and communicates ability to special order from all our vendors.
  • Enforces all Club rules and regulations, including the dress code.
  • Attends meetings as advised, to obtain updated information regarding the Golf Operations department.
  • Receives incoming phone calls regarding tee times, cancelations and course conditions. Records proper messages and communicates with appropriate staff regarding member's questions and/or comments.
  • Advises members and guests of normal play information and any restrictions. Provides restroom codes and answers all questions accurately and courteously.
  • Maintains knowledge of course play at all times and keeps in touch with the Golf Shop in the event of emergencies.
  • Maintains communication with the Golf Shop for added or canceled tee times and player flow.
  • Promotes all Club activities and services, along with upcoming events.

 Other Functions

  • Assists with all Golf Shop operations including updating of Golf Shop policies manual.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior retail experience.


Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.                                          


Computer Skills

  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Familiar with a point of sale system.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid Driver's License


Other Skills and Abilities

  • Prior retail experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of the game of golf.


Other Qualifications

  • Positive attitude.
  • Takes initiative to assist wherever needed during down time of other duties.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
  • Must possess good communication and proper phone etiquette.
  • Integrity beyond reproach.
